EMIRATES: THE BEST AIRLINE IN THE WORLD?
EMIRATES: THE BEST AIRLINE IN THE WORLD?
Hello!
My name is Abdullah Mahdi, a 14 year old Aviation and Sports fan and welcome to the Mahdi Journal! Here we talk about everything from flight reviews to match reviews to song reviews to basically everything.
Tonight we go to Islamabad International Airport (ISB) for a 9:15 AM flight to Dubai International Airport (DXB) on board the world famous Emirates on my favorite aircraft, the Boeing 777-300.
(Disclaimer: This flight was taken on the 6th of June, 2025)
THE AIRPORT EXPERIENCE:
CHECK IN:
Check in began around 5:30 AM and was a pretty easy process. The agent was very quick with everything and the process was done in around 5 minutes. The line was also not so long as we were there early.
IMMIGRATION:
Going to immigration, which I am aware has nothing related to the Emirates flight, was also very straight forward. The officer asked one or two questions and it took around 4-5 minutes. Once again a very quick process.
THE AIRPORT:
Islamabad International Airport has one terminal with one side for domestic and one for international flights. Some of the windows were also pretty bad for planespotting:
Some windows were still pretty good for planespotting:
Boarding is when we did experience some issues. The inbound flight landed about an hour late hence boarding had a bit of a delay. Though 20 minutes later, they asked us to line for boarding and even then we had to wait for about 5-10 minutes. Once that was done, it was a pretty smooth experience!
THE SEAT:
My seat for the flight was a window seat. 38K. The legroom was pretty good at around 30-32 inches. The seat also came with a blanket and some headphones as shown here:
IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT (IFE):
Emirates in-flight entertainment was nothing but amazing and had movies from all eras. From bollywood to hollywood to shows, it had it all.
THE FOOD:
The main on tonight's flight was Mattar Keema (Minced beef with Peas) along with naan. The dessert was "moong daal and coconut kheer", a type of lentil with coconut kheer which is similar to rice pudding. There was also bread, eggless cake rusk, a date biscuit and something that reminded me of strawberry yogurt. The food wasn't the best in my opinion and I personally wasn't a huge fan.
No complaints here, a very good flight with almost 50% of the flight being full. The cabin crew were amazing and were fun to talk to as well!
THE REVIEW:
Good IFE, Good cabin crew and good service. A very good flight though the food wasn't the best and the boarding was a bit of a let down. We also had a slight 10 minute delay but that wasn't so bad as we arrived in time.
The rating: 9/10
